Orange Beetle

Original size (74 x 106 cm) graphite pencil on coloured archival paper. Limited Edition Prints available on request (framed or unframed).

All of the flora and fauna depicted in this drawing are on the list of endangered species in the UK. Suffering from a loss of habitat and effected by pollution mainly from manmade and preventable situations.

This was a collaboration with textile designer Michelle Wickland who designed the coloured background. The textural background was printed onto archival paper and then Kristine used graphite pencil to draw on the beetle design. 

This piece was exhibited at the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol at the '168 Annual Open Exhibition' 2021, their first exhibition after the COVID lockdown.
