Endangered Species Fish Surfboard

Digitally printed vinyl on a 114 cm x 55 cm recycled surfboard. The original art for this piece was created using graphite pencil on paper.

The fish depicted in this design are all species that either already receive protection under European and UK legislation or are being considered for protection by the UK government and Scottish Parliament as part of implementing the European Marine Strategy Directive, which takes an ecosystem based approach to marine management.

This one-off printed surfboard was exhibited at both the London and Bristol Surf Shows. This technique of displaying artwork onto surfboards can only be used for boards retired from the sea due to the nature of the materials used.
